Character Information
Name: Neku Sakuraba
Canon: The World Ends With You | Video Game
Canon Point: End of the game
Age: 15
Gender: Male
History: http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/The_World_Ends_with_You#Plot
Personality:
Neku is awkward with people at best, and at worst he’s as abrasive as sandpaper. His strongest friendships are formed when he’s playing a Game that decides if he’s worthy to go back to life or if he will be “Erased”. Still, he takes a long time to warm up to all of his friends, first insulting them or otherwise being quite rude to them. Once he’s cemented a relationship he’s loyal. Though he does continue teasing them, it’s much more playful than it was prior. He’ll also make an effort to keep his more negative thoughts on a friend to himself. Oddly enough even if he hates somebody he won’t let them die if he can stop it, and when he can’t save them he feels awful about it.

Neku’s trust is a hard to obtain and rather difficult to break, but given the appropriate strain Neku will stop trusting someone. However, Neku is also willing to give that broken trust time to heal. He’s a rather forgiving person, since one of his friends shot him twice, and the other one decided he would be come a Reaper and attempt to Erase him. Given some of his dialogue in the game, it’s safe to assume he’s pretty smart or at least pays attention during class. He knows the periodic symbol for gold off the top of his head as well as the square root of 3. So he’s probably doing well in chemistry and math. Due to his dislike of people before he played the Game, it’s likely that he spent most of his time studying instead of socializing.

Abilities Information
Fighter or Sacrifice?:
Fighter. Neku’s proven himself as somebody who tends to go with his gut during stressful situations. At the end of the game where he’s forced into a gunfight, he doesn’t seem to be coming up with any strategy. He does not stay calm in the most stressful of situations.

Canon abilities:
Neku for all intents and purposes is a baseline human.

Unless he’s dead, in which case he has the ability to access an array of different attacks, or psyches, these range from slashing, starting fires, summoning orbs of water, or paralyzing an enemy, however these only work while he’s in a battle. When Neku is out of battle he can read the surface thoughts of the living, and imprint ideas into their mind. Some select psyches work out of battle, one of them is psychokinesis, but he's only used that once.

First Person:
Alright, so I just woke up in an entirely new world in the middle of who knows where. And apparently I’ve got “virgin cat ears” and a tail.

What the hell?

Is this actually happening? Because it feels like it should be a dream.

Third Person:
Right, okay so apparently he is a “Fighter” in this world. He’s somebody who fights with their words, more action than reaction. That made sense, he wasn’t the type who strategized in the middle of a battle or anything considered a high stress situation. The last high stress moment, the gun duel? He couldn’t strategize, there was too much pain and panic to properly think and- okay, he has to stop that train of thought right now.

Strategizing in the middle of a stressful situation? That sounds a lot more like Joshua to him. Now, after those three weeks in the Game, he’s pretty sure everything Joshua did was planned out. Even when he was surprised he managed to figure out a way to bend things in his favor. So Joshua would probably be a Sacrifice.

Ugh, he cannot believe he just thought that. Somebody would have to agree to submit to Joshua. He can’t help the shiver that runs through his body. What kind of crazy person would agree to do anything Joshua asked them to? Wait no, that guy in the red headphones did (the Conductor guy, if he remembered right) which probably means there are other people who might agree to serve Josh.

Another person who would be willing to do anything Joshua asked of them. Neku is suddenly so relieved that his second partner hasn’t managed to end up here.

But then, if Neku is here… that means it’s entirely possible that Joshua could arrive as well. He can’t help the groan that escapes his throat as he flops onto his bed. The only thing he can think of is the annoying high pitched giggle and constant taunts, and he would have somebody who would do anything for him. That can’t possibly end well, at least not in Neku’s mind.

Anything Else?
Not that I can think of at the moment!
